RoofInspector combines high-precision sensors with intelligent real-time analysis. Detect moisture, condensation and damage before it occurs.

RoofInspector is an intelligent monitoring system that keeps an eye on your roof around the clock. Wireless sensor units record temperature, humidity and water ingress at up to 175 measuring points and transmit the data via Wi-Fi to the central master unit with its touchscreen dashboard.
Integrated dew point analysis and the Glaser method to DIN 4108-3, with a database of over 150 building materials, provide a physically sound assessment of your roof build-up – in real time.
From the compact roof sensor to the central control unit – a modular system for every requirement.

The heart of the system: 4-inch colour touchscreen, SD data logger, its own Wi-Fi access point and a full web dashboard with live charts and battery monitoring.

Automatic CSV logging of all readings including dew point. Download and e-mail dispatch directly from the interface.
Its own access point for the sensors plus home-network connection. Scan the QR code on the display – dashboard or app connect instantly.
Thresholds per sensor, dew point alarm and battery alarm with consecutive counter, e-mail notification, buzzer and status LED.
Firmware updates come straight from roofinspector.eu – via display, browser or app. No SD card, no PC required.
The master measures indoor temperature and humidity, calculates the dew point and monitors the living-space side with its own alarms.

Professional enclosure with industrial connectors, battery monitoring and up to 3 independent sensor channels.
High-precision industrial sensors (±0.1°C) – positionable in any roof layer: vapour barrier, insulation and underlay membrane.
Flat roof: analogue water sensor for leaks and pooling water. Pitched roof: eaves sensor with two-point calibration (dry/wet).
State of charge, consumption and remaining-runtime forecast in days – with an alarm before the battery drops below 20 %.
Configurable measuring intervals with intelligent sleep mode for months of maintenance-free battery operation.
Continuous operation at the flick of a switch – for calibration, sensor replacement and on-site function tests.
The master unit signals the state of the entire sensor network via a highly visible status LED – no need to look at the display.

All sensor units online, all readings within the safe range.

Elevated condensation risk or a threshold has been reached.

Critical reading, water detected or a sensor unit is offline.
Access every setting and all measurement data from any device with a browser on your home network – smartphone, tablet or PC. No cloud, no account.

Live data from all sensors with charts, battery status and signal strength.

Individual thresholds per sensor with consecutive counter and buzzer.

Real-time condensation risk with roof cross-section and ventilation advice.

Building physics to DIN 4108-3 with U-value and moisture-protection diagram.

Configure the measuring interval per sensor unit – from 10 s to 30 min.

Gap-free logging with dew point calculation – opens directly in Excel.

RoofInspector is deliberately a stand-alone system: no server, no cloud, no subscription. Master unit and app connect directly on your own Wi-Fi – or via the master's own access point, without any internet. Your data stays in the house. The app for Android and iOS is fully developed and currently in testing.
The app finds the master automatically on your Wi-Fi – or simply scan the QR code on the display.
All sensor units with gauges, daily averages and history curves for temperature, humidity and water.
Set thresholds, dew point and battery alarms. On the home network the app reports warnings, outages and low battery straight to your phone – when you are away, the master's e-mail alert reaches you.
Edit the layer structure, add your own materials, share CSV logs and update the master firmware directly from the app.
Identify condensation risks in your roof build-up – before moisture damage occurs. RoofInspector calculates the dew point in real time and analyses your layer structure according to recognised building-physics standards.

The dew point is the temperature at which air can no longer hold its moisture – condensation is the result. RoofInspector automatically calculates this critical value using the Magnus formula for every measuring point in your roof.
The difference between the measured temperature and the calculated dew point shows you instantly how safe your roof is from condensation. The larger the margin, the safer.
The system also calculates the absolute humidity (g/m³) at every measuring point and compares indoor with outdoor air. You receive an automatic recommendation – whether ventilating makes sense or the outside air is too humid.

The Glaser method checks whether and where condensation forms within your roof build-up. RoofInspector calculates the temperature and vapour-pressure profile through all material layers and presents the result as a clear diagram – right in your browser.
Insulation, boards, films & membranes, timber, roof coverings, masonry, plaster & screed, concrete, loose fills and others. Up to 20 custom materials with individual thermal-conductivity and vapour-resistance values can also be defined.
U-value (W/m²K), total thermal resistance, sd value, total thickness and moisture-protection rating. The Glaser diagram shows the temperature profile, saturation vapour pressure and actual vapour pressure – with critical condensation zones highlighted in colour.
Try it yourself: set the temperature and humidity – and watch live how RoofInspector calculates the dew point using the Magnus formula and rates the condensation risk.
// Calculation: Magnus formula · identical to the master unit firmware
In the real system, RoofInspector monitors these values at up to 175 measuring points – automatically, around the clock.
Each sensor unit captures up to 7 readings – optimised for the physically relevant layers of your roof.
Industrial sensor in a stainless-steel housing. For the insulation layer and underlay membrane – where it matters.
For the vapour-barrier side and the interior at the master unit. Reliable and proven.
Detects pooling water immediately. Ideal at the low point of a flat roof or on the vapour barrier.
Master unit in the living space, sensors on the roof – connected via Wi-Fi. Simple to install.
